London Heathrow airport (IATA: LHR), is the main airport in the UK and the busiest in Europe (80.8 million passengers in 2019), operating with all continents through a large number of air lines.
Located 25 km (15 miles) west of Central London (See Map), consists of 4 terminals open 24 hours a day. Terminal 2 (aKa Queen’s Terminal) and 3 are connected by a covered path, and free trains are available every 15-20 minutes to buildings 4 and 5. To get from Terminal 4 to 5 you must take bus 482 or 490.
Private and Public Transportation

The tube has three stations on London Underground’s Piccadilly Line, one for Terminals 2 & 3, one for Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. (journey time 50 to 60 m to Central London. Single fare £6.00. With Oyster Card from £3.10 to £5.10.
Many bus services connect the airport with Central London, other cities and airports. National Express coach services operate out of the Heathrow Airport Central Bus Station, to and from central London (Victoria station) in 40 – 70 min (with Oyster card from £3,10 to £5,10 or £6,00 cash), Gatwick airport (from £25) in 1h05 m and destinations all over the UK. The central bus station is located between Terminals 2 and 3, is open 24 hours and is well sign posted.
The non-stop Heathrow Express departs every 15 minutes to London Paddington between 5:10 am and 11:50 pm. Journey time 15 min. (from £22). In addition, several regular train services runs also to Central London and the surroundings, with several stops but cheaper. TFL rail (from £10.10) runs to Paddington station in Central London in 30 – 35 minutes.

Hotels at the airport
Hotel reservation desks are located in the Arrivals of each terminal. Aerotel (Terminal 3) is connected to Terminal 3 Arrivals. Hilton (Terminal 4), YOTEL (Terminal 4), Sofitel (Terminal 5) and many hotels nearby.
SEARCH AND BOOK IN ADVANCE
Short term, long term, Valet Parking, Meet & Greet, Business and Pod, are the alternatives of parking at the airport. Car parking spaces can be reserved for the disabled, garage and open air lots. Free bus service for the farthest areas. Car parks can be booked up to 24 hours before your arrival time at the car park. SuperSaver and Leisure Special products must be booked further in advance.
